TVI Express Dollar is no more

For about a year, "Rudy Phan" of Indonesia published a LOT of nonsense on his website: tviexpressdollar.com, proclaiming all sorts of "facts" and "explanations" trying to justify the legitimacy of TVI Express.

I spent SEVERAL blog posts debunking his bogus explanationsHe even tried to debate me here for a while.  He was so frustrated, he quit debating here.

So I took the fight to him... and joined the Indonesian Kaskus online forum, where he continued to post his drivel.

He got so tired of me taking apart his public posts, he hid them behind a "registration wall".

Later he was revealed to have quit TVI Express and joined another suspect pyramid called ICITLife.

So what happened to TVIExpressDollar.com?

Rudy, I hope you have learned your lesson, but I suspect you will continue to lie in your new venture.

TVI Express member falsely claimed endorsement in Indonesia

Official denies that he had joined or endorsed TVI Express, despite members having dropped his name and claimed he's a member.  In other words, TVI Express members lied!

More hilarity on TVI Express "fan" websites

Why do you think a LIVE TVI Express Indonesia website has "dummy content"?

http://tvi-expressid.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=91

When you open the MAIN site, you find that the website is virtually an EXACT clone of tviexpress.com, albeit translated into Indonesia.

However, the editor clearly didn't bother to produce a REAL "member card", since the numbers are exactly the same as "Mike Branson" card on TVIExpress.com!

Another delusional Indonesia believing that cloning some websites will make money...

NEWSFLASH: Manila Newspaper named TVI Express and Pacific Destinations as suspect ponzi schemes

URL: http://www.manilastandardtoday.com/insideOpinion.htm?f=2011/may/20/alvincapino.isx&d=2011/may/20

From what we have gathered from the volumes of documents and other information in the Internet, it appears that PDI (Pacific Destinations Inc) is a clone of the controversial TVI Express which has already been issued a cease and desist order from the State of Georgia for being suspected as a pyramiding scheme by the State’s Administrator for Fair Business Practices Act.
It seems that the organizers of PDI —a certain Edwin Natividad and Mayet Frances Briones—were active in TVI Express in California before they decided to put up a copy cat of TVI Express in the Philippines.
The SEC and the NBI should look into the operation of PDI and see whether its scheme is similar to that of TVI Express which appears to be a classic pyramiding scheme.
Filipinos should wake up ASAP!

UPDATE: DELETED FEB-2012 More bull**** from

EDIT AND UPDATE:    have deleted TVI Express content from his website as of February 2012.

had previously been highlighted for pushing the scam TVI Express, and claiming he wants to help you succeed in this scam... on April Fool's Day. Apparently, he was actually serious about wanting to help this scam, as he just posted yet ANOTHER article:

http://systematic  .com/tvi-express-business-is-tvi-express-worth-it/

Today many people are in search of various ways in which they can establish their own business and strike profitable business along the way. Looking around there are lots of different businesses out in the market for business and its expansion. But there are not many which offer the advantage of travel and the chances for an income of more than seven figures in the first year of its joining.
Many of the online business offer very minimum breaks and at the most they offer you the maximum seven figure income. For that you need to work for a period of 3 to 4 years. So the chances of letting you become affluent in just some weeks are offered only by TVI Express Business. Therefore, you should not miss the opportunity once you learn about it. The benefit of joining this business is, it is very easy and simple:
There is many times where any business will require you to learn and understand a lot of stuff prior to your first venture. With TVI Express Business it is totally different. It does not require you to have all the knowledge at the very beginning. You can always learn your way up to the top within a very short time as you start your business and progress.
Here in the TVI Express Business you are not required to spend your money on procuring E books and learning programs. So even if you are new to net marketing you can learn your way up in the process. And they offer you the shortest possible course on learning which they give you through the back office.
TVI Express Business is still fresh and it is kind of new in the market. This means you can still get the opportunity to establish yourself well and at the same time you can get people to register with the business under you which will add bonuses to your credit. Also when you look around the competition is somewhat low right now. It was introduced in Asia just a few months back. With TVI Express Business you can enjoy both the benefits of work and satisfaction which is
Really, that's the end of the article. Clearly, he can't even cut and paste correctly. Furthermore, there is no useful facts to be had in the entire article, just vague statements that are not corroborated by anything.

What's even more pathetic, in the "related posts" there are repeated mention of Zamzuu, a convicted pyramid scheme (formerly known as YTB) that was sued out of California and Illinois. They settled by paying MILLIONS in fines.   wants you to succeed in that scam as well.

If   wants you to succeed in scams, does that make him a pathetic fool?

And if you paid him to train you, what does that make you?

TVI Express owned by Warren Buffett and Sir Richard Branson... NOT!

Yet that's what a LOT of people believed...  Including this guy in Spain.
The company is called TVI Express and the owners of this mega project is the billionaire investor Warren Buffet and Richard Branson owner of Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Records.

More Irrelevant Defense of TVI Express

Someone else decides to post a 'defense' of TVI Express one of my hubs about TVI Express Scam:

http://hubpages.com/hub/TVI-Express-Lies-exposed

Comment was reproduced below (my comments are in RED)

Notice that the URL goes to http://www.tviexprss.com/  which is not even the right URL!  This guy can't even spell!
Hi, brother don't abuse tvi express. we all are really earning a lot of money through tvi express business. i started this business 14 months ago. my direct sign-ups were 9. and now my genealogy is in auto mod and im earning 10k dollars every week and also a lot of residual income.
And how does this prove it's legitimate? It doesn't. Notice he only talked about recruiting, not about SELLING anything. What sort of business sells nothing?
i feel instead of talking negative abt such a great opportunity, you must join tviexpress and grab the success asap. here in my city there are not a lot of ppl in tvi, but because of the global signups of tvi, im also earning automatically :).
Still no explanation on why the business is legitimate, just that it makes money... By recruiting people NOT in the US. NOT BY SELLING ANYTHING.
i feel so great that my life has changed so rapidly. now i also purchased the stuffs which i used to think ill never be able to buy. there are negative points to talk about tviexpress, but same goes with the top worlds network companys.
The "top worlds network companys" (sic) are not getting shut down all over the world like TVI Express. TVI Express is already dead in China, Australia, various countries in Europe and Asia.... The list goes on and on. Those are facts, not merely insults.
i dont care about 10 people talking shit about the company and me, cuz i know im financially much more stable now then they can just dream of.
If he "dont care about 10 people talking shit", why did he post a comment defending TVI Express? Talk about schizophrenia!
And did I ever talk **** about him? No. I don't even know who he is, until he posted the comment.
This guy is basically saying "I made money so I don't care if it's a scam."  And he felt so involved in TVI Express, he decided that any "insult" against TVI Express is against him personally. That's a symptom of paranoia.

Amazing, isn't it? Two different psychological disorders in a single sentence!
IP Address traces to a company in Texas, but it's likely hacked. That ain't even American English.

TVI Express continues to lie about Solid Trust Pay connection

TVI Express still claims to accept Solid Trust Pay on their FAQ (retrieved 17-APR-2011)

However, Solid Trust Pay themselves have stated on this very blog that they cut all ties with TVI Express a WHOLE YEAR ago.

http://kschang.blogspot.com/2011/02/actual-support-ticket-of-question-i.html

Clearly, TVI Express cannot be trusted to give accurate information on their website.

Lots of TVI Express "feedback" recently

Unfortunately, all of the feedback use some of the documented "13 excuses". Let us analyze one. This comment was posted on my hub: http://hubpages.com/hub/TVI-Express-Lies-exposed

The IP address traced back to Bombay, India. (where TVI Express is NOT!)

TVI EXPRESS IS THE BEST AND EVERYBODY EARNS GREAT MONEY.
And your proof of this, is what, exactly? Even the compensation plan says 1 in 225 or so gets paid the big money. So it can't be "everybody".
MR KSCHANG WHY DON'T YOU SHOW ME HOW TO MAKE A 50MILLION DOLLAR IN 2 YEARS AND ILL COME TO YOUR BUSINESS?...
Irrelevant to the issue of TVI Express.
THE REASON IS, YOU YOURSELF A FAILURE AND YOU JUST DON'T LIKE PEOPLE EARNING MORE THEN YOU, THAT'S WHY YOU ARE SPREADING NEGATIVE INFORMATION ABOUT A COMPANY WHICH HAS CHANGED LIFE OF THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED HARD IN TVI FOR A GREAT SUCCESS.
Ad Hominem attack, inventing and attributing "motives" to critics instead of dealing with the FACTS.
THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE AND ITS A PEOPLES BUSINESS, SUCCESS IS A DREAM WHICH ANYBODY CAN ACHIEVE, THE FACT IS THAT THERE ARE ENOUGH PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT OTHER STUFFS AS THEY LIFE TO SIT AND TALK ABOUT THE WORLD INSTEAD OF GETTING UP AND WORKING.
And this has exactly WHAT to do with TVI Express, or any of the facts I've cited?
COMMON GETUP AND SMELL THE COFFEE, WHEN YOU ARE THINKING OF A MOVIE OR A BLOG OR A TELEVISION NEWS, I HERE AM EARNING MILLIONS BY LAUGHING AT YOU.
Tarun Trikha would be earning millions, sure. And the top-most uplines. The rest are just feeding the pyramid. Bravo. Remember, 1 in 225...  And notice that there is NO rebuttal.
GETUP AND CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS LIFE, AND LIFE WILL CHANGE ITS ATTITUDE TOWARDS YOU.
Motivational psycho-babble. But how is it relevant to TVI Express?
THERE ARE 99% POPULATION WHO ARE FOLLOWING THE BLIND NEGATIVE TALKS ABOUT NETWORK MARKETTING, THATS HWY THERE ARE 1% SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE!!!.
I'm here to warn the other 99% who got motivated into considering the TVI Express scam, so they can consider something that is actually an opportunity, instead of a scam. Odds there are much better.
BEST OF LUCK FOR YOUR BRAINS. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, QUALITY KNOWLEDGE IS SUCCESS
TVI TOP LEADER

Looking through the ENTIRE post, and I can't find a SINGLE FACT from "TVI Top Leader".  There are some pithy nuggets like "knowledge is power", but did you notice that he did not cite a single FACT or even TRY to refute ANY of the facts I cited?
Wonder if "Top leader" is related to "Dear Leader" or  "Great Leader"?

Hilarious TVI Express Member Sites, volume ?? of ???

Take a peek at this TVI Express member website: http://www.express-tvi.com/

I think my 5-year old cousin can design a better looking website than this.

Wow, all those "bonuses" thrown in... Except the art is so crudely done, you know they're from those "get-rich-quick by selling junk" websites.

15 graphics certificates worth $20? Probably found on Google Images for free, or ripped off some existing graphics package that's like 5000 pieces of art for $2.95 in your local office superstore. $3000 dollars worth of CRAP... and a $250 membership that's worth nothing, for $337! What a deal! (not!)

At least the guy is willing to tell you his name, Aaron Murakami. According to the domain reg he lives in Spokane, Washington.

So what can we tell about this guy, Aaron Murakami? Apparently he's into "free energy" research and transcendental meditation. He has a website called "Feel the Vibe" in the exact same style. http://www.feelthevibe.com/

And here's one example of what he writes:

The Power of Collective Intention - PDF explaining the power of a quantum technology applied towards the ability of groups to influence the matrix.

*sigh*. You can tell this guy is not firing on full thrusters. I mean, he even let his own domain, aaronmurasaki.com lapse. And he wants you to join him as a downline, and pay $337 (even though it should have been $250) to him.

Hilarious.

Do You Know What is "Cognitive Dissonance"?

Cognitive Dissonance is a conflicting mental situation where the mind is trying to reconcile conflicting information.  (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance )

It is interesting how many participants of TVI Express are showing attitudes of cognitive dissonance. Here are some of the symptoms:
The Belief Disconfirmation Paradigm
Dissonance is aroused when people are confronted with information that is inconsistent with their beliefs. If the dissonance is not reduced by changing one's belief, the dissonance can result in misperception or rejection or refutation of the information, seeking support from others who share the beliefs, and attempting to persuade others to restore consonance.
When confronted with the facts that TVI Express is an illegal pyramid scheme under prosecution in multiple countries, the defenders, behaving like UFO cult members (who realized the world was NOT ending), started to attack the truth (seeking to refute it somehow), seek support from others who share their beliefs, and attempt to persuade others that TVI Express cannot be a scam, often by using logical fallacies.

The Effort-Justification ParadigmDissonance is aroused whenever individuals voluntarily engage in an unpleasant activity to achieve some desired goal. Dissonance can be reduced by exaggerating the desirability of the goal.
When confronted with the fact that TVI Express relies on recruiting people, not on selling anything, the participants deluded themselves by claiming "it's networking", "it's hard work", "I am earning life-changing income" and so on. In many cases, they haven't earned a single dollar, they merely have progressed a few levels in the "board", but they are acting as if they have made great progress toward their goal, because they chose it, and thus they need to justify their unpleasant activities: dragging other people into the scam.
Which is yet ANOTHER way TVI Express is very much like a cult...

Kelly Williams, Ex-TVI, went on to start his own... Scam?

Kelly Williams was one of the biggest members in TVI Express, at least in the US. For the longest time he was defending TVI Express, bemoaning that its leaders (i.e. Tarun Trikha) were not answering concerns, while trying to keep his team together. He even sent letters to Troy Dooley's MLMHelpDesk with information.

http://www.mlmhelpdesk.com/2009/10/05/tvi-express-leader-kelly-williams-reaches-out-to-mlm-help-desk/
(October 2009)

And here's a claim that he and his brother Jake loved the idea of TVI Express

http://arenda-avto.org/online-travel-sales/the-williams-family-9-week-tvi-express-experience-unbelieveable
(November 2009)

And according to this "agreement" (DOC file), he lives in 553 East Mutton Hollow, Kaysville, Utah.

In 2010 he suddenly quit TVI Express. And guess what? He started a clone of TVI Express called "Club Sea Breeze". The WHOIS of clubseabreeze.net shows...

Registrant:Kelly Williams553 East Mutton Hollow RdKaysville, Utah 84037United States
Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc. (http://www.godaddy.com)Domain Name: CLUBSEABREEZE.NETCreated on: 06-Jan-10Expires on: 06-Jan-12Last Updated on: 03-Feb-10
Yep, same guy. Same address and everything. And if you examine Club Sea Breeze website, you'll find it to be a virtual CLONE of TVI Express, albeit one more fleshed out, that addresses various concerns such as transparency, ownership, and more. However, that's not good enough.

In 2011, Club Sea Breeze made the "Daily Pyramid (scheme)" from Linkvaark.

Another Indonesian Celebrity Lends Name to Scam

8-ball pyramid scheme model.Image via WikipediaA relatively famous ex-actress was roped into the TVI Express scam. Locals reported it was if it's GOOD news.

http://www.kapanlagi.com/showbiz/selebriti/natalie-margaretha-sibuk-cari-milyader.html  (in Indonesian)

Previously TVI Express had roped in Java's police chief as a participant and endorser. That name seem to be no longer mentioned.

For those who think celebrities are infallible... Here's an American celebrity... wife of former Bank of American CEO Ken Lewis was pulled into a pyramid scheme. This is not an idiot, folks. She has her own business and all that. Her friends pulled her into it. See for yourself.

http://www.wcnc.com/home/Pyramid-scheme-recruits-high-profile-sales-reps-94971214.html

Celebrity endorsement proves nothing.

Conclusive Proof that TVI Express is NOT investing in Airline

TVI Express Indonesia members are spreading rumors that TVI Express has somehow found money to invest in a new airline that will start operation in July 2011. Here's one example.

Somehow the name "Gunarni Gunawan" was construed to be mispelled Goenarni Goenawan, owner of PT TVI Express Indonesia.

However, that citing is COMPLETELY WRONG. TribunNews of Indonesia has identified the two domestic investors of Pacific Royale Airline as Gunarni Soeworodan, and Samudera Sukardi, both of whom had previously worked at Garuda Air.

And if TVI Express is investing in an airline, you'd think they'd made an announcement already. Instead, you get all these rumor mills working overtime, citing the WRONG facts, and NOBODY even bothered to double check the names! I don't even speak Indonesian yet I smelled a rat from THOUSANDS of miles away!

Another TVI Express lie busted!

TVI Express Won an Award? Not when you read a little closer.

Map of Indonesia showing waters of the East In...Image via WikipediaTVI Express announced that it had won some sort of award called "International Good Company Award of 2011". It was allegedly awarded by "International Achievement Foundation".

The problem is, nobody knows where is this foundation located. It doesn't seem to exist online. It seem to only exist in Indonesia, and even there it seems to have multiple names.

And the event was NOT covered by ANY news agency, local or otherwise.

There is such an award called "International Good Company Award" in Indonesia, but the problem is it's not just "one award", but multiple awards for different cateogories. Supposedly PT TVI Express Indonesia won "best service excellence" (not TVI Express the main company, mind you)

Supposedly the award was presented to Goernawan, who, previously, told reporters that TVI Express is NOT multi-level, even though the main company website says it is.

Furthermore, keep in mind that in Indonesia, PT TVI Express Indonesia's stated business (on their business license) is "computers, electronics, and communications sales and consulting" (rough translation). So if they got "best service excellence", it has to be for THAT, not travel or "business opportunity".

What's even MORE interesting is so far TVI Express have NOT produced the "certificate" or plaque that one gets after receiving the award for all to see. You get a generic picture of the award, some clipart banner, and a TINY 1 inch by 1 inch photo that shows Goernawan receiving SOME sort of award.

Here's a different company that allegedly received the award at the SAME event:

http://www.highwaygames.com/body.php3?action=news_st&view=detail&news_id=3000

Date given was FEBRUARY 18, 2011, a FULL MONTH AGO.

So if this happened in FEBRUARY, but TVI Express only announced it now, what was TVI Express hiding for all these time, and only announced it March 18th, 2011?

And why is there ZERO coverage of this from any new media outlet (other than TVI Express itself)?

Last year's winner was... uh... "BEACH Laundry" franchise. The win was announced in May 2010. In February 2011 they announced another winner already. Hmmm... Is it me or is this award not what it appears to be?

Who are the judges? No idea. Who else won? No idea. There is no winner list at all.

This award is completely unknown outside of Indonesia, and TVI Express is trying to make a "big deal" out of it, when it's not even itself that had won, but one of its branches, a separate corporate entity, whose stated business is not even travel or business opportunity.

And the person receiving the award had previously lied to reporter, been reported so, directly contradicting official TVI Express statement on what it is. In other words, TVI Express ignores its leader's lies on newspaper, while emphasizing an award its leader won (for what?) that doesn't even apply to the main company.

Sorry, but even if this award is real, it only applies to one part of TVI Express, not the whole thing. Furthermore, it's for SERVICE excellence. It doesn't prove the rest of the business itself is not a scam.

Awards ceremony are in no way good judgment of character. Click here for an ironic award.

So THAT is How TVI Express Got "95000 hotels"...

A browse through some Indonesian website about TVI Express revealed a TVI Express booking certificate, with some very interesting emergency contact at the bottom. The certificate is reproduced to the right.

Note the "emergency contact" at the bottom. Guess where +90 country code is?

Turkey. That's right, all the way over in Turkey, in the Middle East

Search for that emergency contact number revealed that it's an outfit called HotelsPro.com . There is no cost to join, and they provide "95000 hotels in 11000 destinations", the EXACT numbers offered by TVI Express.

However, note this item in their FAQ
Are hotel taxes included in my booking? For the majority of bookings, general hotel taxes are included in the room rate. Tourist/local/city taxes which generally include the use of local services may not be included. If city tax needs to be paid at the hotel, this info is shown in Remarks and on the voucher. %1% Some hotels, particularly in the USA do charge a resort fee which must be paid to the hotel directly. This is typically $10 to $20 a room a night. Hotelspro.com is not responsible for resort fee charges and have no control over their implementation.
Location of Bali in IndonesiaImage via WikipediaThus, TVI Express just proved that it is charging exorbitant "taxes and processing fees" to enrich its own pockets.

FYI, HotelsPro quotes roughly $186 per night for the Outrigger on Bali as in that certificate. Total trip, roughly $550 or so, and that's with 2 months advanced reservation. So TVI Express is losing $300 for every trip redeemed, even if it's from Indonesia to Indonesia, NOT counting airfare. If they are providing "free companion ticket" as they promised, they will lose EVEN MORE!

WHAT SORT OF BUSINESS loses money for every member that joined?

Clearly they have NO intention of fulfilling everybody's trip.

Furthermore, is hotelspro.com a legitimate website? If you search it on Robtex you will see that it has NO reputation, claims to be based on New York but is likely actually based on Turkey. Its parent, MetGlobal, shows a US address (New York), but again, is likely based in Turkey. Alexa's info shows that MetGlobal is definitely most popular in Turkey, .

Sorry, but it's clear that TVI Express is dealing with some secondary or tertiary hotel wholesalers to satisfy a FEW of the redemptions (note the vacation is only 3 nights) and even that is only in Indonesia. It does NOT prove they are legitimate. It only proves that they can deal with some probably legitimate suppliers.

(Just for comparison, HotelsPro's rates are comparable to Travelocity's rates for the same hotel)

TVI Express In Macedonia, what took them so long?

As TVI Express is supposedly based in Cyprus, which is right next to Greece and Macedonia, what took them to long to get to Macedonia? No idea.
