TVI EXPRESS The Central Bank of Lesotho has become aware of a network/scheme known as TVI Express that is operating in Lesotho in violation of the law.  The activities of this scheme resemble those of a selling and marketing pyramid schemes as defined in Section 2 of the Financial Institutions Act, 1999, in terms of receiving funds from the public. The Central Bank of Lesotho would like to warn the public about the dangers of investing or participating in this particular scheme and other schemes of a similar nature.  Furthermore, the Central Bank of Lesotho would also like to caution all promoters of TVI Express, including persons who attempt to recruit others, either by word-of-mouth or via spamming email messages to join these schemes, anywhere in Lesotho, to stop such practices immediately. After the Central Bank of Lesotho scrutinized the business model of this scheme against the relevant provisions of the Act, the Central Bank of Lesotho concluded that: -           Its business operations place substantial emphasis on recruitment of participants to it.  In this respect, the scheme offers lucrative incentives to the participants, calculated primarily on the basis of the number of participants or members that have been recruited into it.  It is evident that these recruitment-based incentives serve as a bait to attract potential participants into joining the scheme, with the prospect of making easy money by recruiting others. -           In the whole, selling of purported products or services is a small component of the business model in the scheme and therefore designed to defraud members of the public. Given the above, this business model contravene the provisions of the Act when subjected to the definition of “receiving funds from the public” and therefore considered illegal.  The Central Bank of Lesotho therefore appeals to each and every law-abiding citizen of Lesotho to refrain from participating in any activities of TVI Express.  Further, the public is required to report such activities to the Central Bank of Lesotho, through the following offices:  Financial Institutions Supervision Division Contact: Ms. Nomonde Sixishe  at 22232026 Public Relations Division Contact: Mr. Thato Mohasoa at 22232139

Back in October 2010, when Bank of Namibia declared TVI Express a pyramid scheme, reaction was swift among the locals. Excerpts here are some of the reaction to local newspapers, and my comments (in blue)

IS it not better to allow us the 52 per cent unemployed to continue make a living honourably through network marketing rather than to legalise prostitution?

But what proof is there that TVI Express is actually network marketing? Or for that matter, Holiday and Cash? They CLAIM to be, but are they really? 

What does it market besides itself? I don't know anything about Holiday and Cash, but it sounds like exactly the same thing. 

HELLO BoN Mr (Ipumbu) Shiimi and Mr (Ndangi) Katoma do you know than Donald Trump, together with Dolf de Rose, are the board members of Holidays and Cash? Are you also aware that Holidays and Cash is operating in 105 countries?

No proof of such link can be found any where on Google. Even alleged Holiday and Cash websites no longer has anything related to Donald Trump. This is likely a lie, or misunderstanding, similar to the one perpetrated by TVI Express about Warren Buffett and Sir Richard Branson. 


As for number of countries, that in no way proves any sort of legitimacy. Illegal drugs are in every country of the world. So? 

(TRADE) Minister Hage (Geingob) please help us TVI is not a pyramid scheme. Ask TVI people to present it to you. Help us. The BoN wants us to suffer while they are getting richer. Please help.

Ask those in the scam to prove it's not a scam? That's really funny. This basically gets into "us vs them" and "conspiracy" tactics of the cults. 

BANK of Namibia as a member of H & C I am expecting you to withdraw your press release as soon as possible. I want to work for my child’s varsity fees for next year. You are wasting my time and pushing me back into poverty. BoN stole my financial freedom; I want it back big-time. BoN was sleeping only to wake up now just to jump on the wrong side. BoN are you going to give my child a bursary and take care of everything?

So it is the authorities fault for wanting to stamp out fraud, because you do not want to be saved. 

BON or Mr Ndangi Katoma be reasonable and think twice before you take TVI to the newspapers. Why don’t you meet this big giant and hear the best-ever concept in business that every Namibian needs to block the poverty and help themselves. This is not a pyramid scheme as you claim. In Namibia we need this kind of of business that benefits everyone, even a poor person can become a wealthy person. So do good research and apologise to the whole nation.

Clearly, these folks never heard about the cases in China, where perps of TVI Express were arrested and JAILED for running a pyramid scheme, back in 2009. A year later, they still don't believe TVI Express is a scam. 





As you can see, mass denial runs deep. It is a symptom of cognitive dissonance.

"Real True Review" of TVI Express is neither true nor real

When you look for "TVI Express Review", a guy named Manuel seems to pop up quite often. Here's one such link:

This has an honest date on it: March 2010, OVER A YEAR OLD. A lot has changed since. So first of all, this review is neither real or true. It's actually old and inaccurate.

Let us go through it sentence by sentence and see what's in here that may be of use.

That "truth" at that website turns out to be a capture page of the same guy hawking the same stuff AGAIN. 

To Know What TVI Express actually is and also whether or not is a TVI Express scam, we need to look for a honest and truth TVI Express review. And I dont think that most people in TVI Express explain the TVI Express Reviews good enough, so this is why I put this TIV Express and VTI Express report together to show you guys what VTI Express actually is. 

THREE sentences wasted already. Where's the review? 

Well Tviexpress is actually a direct marketing company which is been active in the travel industry. 

Can you prove that? Or are you going strictly on what they told you? UNSUPPORTED OPINION. 

TVIexpres is rather a new company when we talk about that. And now lets look into the TIV Express and whether or not you are going to make 10K. We will talk about the TVI Express information, TVI Expres information and also some tVI Express facts. 

In other words, Manuel is a parrot: repeating TVI Express marketing material, with NO attempt at verification. Manuel has yet to present a single VERIFIABLE FACT. 

The real TVIexpress facts is that they are not a scam at all. Let me repeat that, the TVIexpress facts is not a scam. The TVI Expres facts is not a scam at all, because there is a product involved. 

Manuel never bothers to explain WHY just because it supposedly has a product means it's not a scam. Another UNSUPPORTED OPINION. 


Furthermore, TVI Express FAQ says very clearly, "You do not need to sell any products." The only thing ever "sold" is from TVI Express to members. NOTHING is sold by members to public. Add to that the extra fees, the problem with redemption, the half-sizing... The product is worthless. But Manuel has somehow made the leap of faith: product = NOT scam. 

Everyone who join in TVi express is going to receive a travel package and also who wants TVi express and call me, because this Tvi express business is where you want to be. 

So just because members receive an alleged travel package, it's not a scam? Another leap of faith. That's like saying "Because Bernie Madoff paid me, Bernie Madoff cannot be a scam." Look up Bernie Madoff in the news... Biggest scam ever to hit the US... 30 BILLION DOLLARS WORTH.  Another UNSUPPORTED OPINION. 

So lets answer this question Why should I join tvi express, are their tvi express complaints going on there and how about the tvi express presidents club. And do not forget the TVi express travel business how does all this things fit together.

And that's it, no more explaining WHY it's not a scam. From here on it's all 'join me, join me'. What about the complaints? What travel business? 

The question is not whether or not you join tvi express. The question about tvi is whether or not you can make 10K. Who can help you make the 10K. TVI express and Kelly Williams. It is a simple home based business. You can work from home also, and earn income if you want. 

He raised all those questions, and he skipped right over them!

So what does a home-based business (again, TVI Express claim, UNVERIFIED), and Kelly Williams (who, by the way, quit TVI Express and went on to create Club Seabreeze, a competitor) have ANYTHING to do with "can you earn 10K"?  UNEXPLAINED. 

Its in fact a MLM, to be real about it. MLM is a multi-level marketing, it is network marketing. And they are active not only in America, but actually through out the world, in fact also Tvi express Australia and Australia tvi express.

Again, UNSUPPORTED assumption. How can TVI Express be multi-level marketing when it doesn't sell anything? It just recruits. 

Furthermore, Australia slapped a restraining order on TVI Team Oz (3 TVI Express members) to stop them from promoting TVI Express in May 2010, and China had arrested and investigated TVI Express LONG before that. 

CONCLUSION: As you can see now, Manuel is basically a parrot. There is no review of TVI Express. There are virtually no facts in the entire rant.  The title is a complete lie. Everything in this so-called "real true review" are in fact UNSUPPORTED OPINIONS, ASSUMPTIONS, and BAD LOGIC. 


And Manuel is not alone with this sort of "review".

Alleged Edgar Martinez claims TVI Express Works for Him, but does it really?

A Mr. Edgar Martinez posted a comment on my "TVI Express Scam Timeline", and the comment is reproduced below. It's in Spanish, so a translation is posted as well. The IP address traces back to a location in Bogota Colombia, so Mr. Martinez is likely for real, but probably mislead. Previously a Colombian Newspaper El Liberal had reported on TVI Express scam, and a rebuttal from member, then nothing else was heard ever again.

The problem here, Senor Martinez, is that you are basically arguing that HALF of TVI Express is legal and real. That, unfortunately, either proves that they are a scam that is putting on a false front, or nothing at all. It in no way proves that they are completely legitimate. 

As for your claim that the prices you found are cheaper, what exactly did you compare it to? Your vague statement cannot be verified, whereas everything I wrote I can cite a source from that can be verified.

So how exactly do you make money? You can only make money by recruiting other people into TVI Express, not by selling any trips. Why is TVI Express promising "earn 10000 a week" on their website's front page? Are you telling people NOT to earn money?

Previously (on March 31st, 2011) we highlighted a weasel post from a guy named , who runs a website called , where he touts every MLM under the sun, claim they are all great, but you need his help to realize their true potential. He's so good with the MLMs, he got all the details about TVI Express wrong. 


So what did he really write about TVI Express? Here's his article:

But does it have any facts? Let's study what he wrote, one section at a time. Just to make sure there's no manipulation, here's a screen capture of the stuff as of 02-MAY-2011:

Yes, you read it right. This article was posted on APRIL FOOL'S DAY. Is it a joke? Apparently so, but we'll explain that a little later. 

TVI Express Travel came into being after it was set up in London in the year 2009. It was travel and at the same time a hospitality business. TVI Travel Venture International), was introduced in India and later in China. Because of its world wide appeal, it was introduced around the world in July 2009. Today the company comprises of more than 195000 members. 

And the proof of this is what exactly? Nada. By citing "195000" members, this shows that the article was written sometime in 2009.  TVI Express today claims over a million members. Thus, this article is completely out of date, and the author refuse to admit so. 


Of course, the author never care to check that there was no such company as TVI Express or Travel Ventures in UK. The only company that came close, TVI Services, was dissolved in 08-MAR-2011. 


Nor does    realize that TVI Express was kicked out of China in 2009, with members arrested and sentenced to prison in 2010. 

TVI symbolizes as an example of great innovations and leadership building. This travel company has a very effortless mission, yet it is known for its originality and simplicity which draws people to its market. It helps people to let others make an optimistic transformation in their everyday lives.

Another significant plan of TVI Express Travel is its rotating medium compensation which is very favorable among the customers and its clients. It has 2 by 3 medium. One is the Traveler Board and the other is the Express board.

Is that even proper English? What the heck is "TVI Symbolizes as an example"? Or "rotating medium compensation"? 


Since when a forced matrix is "original"? 


This entire section gave zero facts, just lots of hyperbole. 

The easiest way to start this business is to purchase a travel ticket which cost $250. This includes a package of 7 days and 6 nights in an excellent 5 star hotel.

This is already bull****. The purchase is of a membership, which includes a voucher to a package that supposedly includes companion ticket and 7-day 6-night accommodations at a 3-5 star hotel at participating locations. How you redeem the package? You only find out AFTER you pay up... and realize all the hotels are in or near India (according to TVI Express's own list) AND you pay EXTRA $150 in taxes and fees and whatnot, according to their own announcements. So what if you do manage to get a trip? It sure ain't income.

You also get the chance of opening your own website based on your company and even a personal back office.

The backoffice IS the website... tviexpress.com/username  It's not separate!

When the entire vacant posts are filled up, the board gets divided. After this you don’t need to sponsor the two people, as its position will be automatically transformed by the extra sales by any of your team members.

What the heck is "its position will be transformed"? What does "after this you don't need to sponsor the two people" mean? How does the vacant posts get filled if you don't start it by sponsor two people like the FAQ says? Does this guy only speak in gibberish?

When you leave the Traveler Board, your positions will be placed at stage 1 of the Express Board. A credit of $10,500 will be added on your online account after you leave the Express Board. If you want to add up another $10, 500 you will need to make a fresh entry into the Express Board, which will in turn add another $6,000 worth of the travel ticket in your TVI Express Travel account.

Wrong. $250 in eWallet and $250 worth of eVoucher when you cycle out of traveler board. $10000 in eWallet when you cycle out of Express board. 


There is no $6000 worth of travel ticket. The alleged $5000 travel voucher is only for company events, and even THAT disappeared off TVI Express website in 2010.  

TVI Express Travel offers incomparable openings and chances when we weigh against it with the others. On the very first glance it is good to be associated with Travel Venture International. Besides its simplicity and friendly concept, it brings in a team concept within today’s marketing arena.

Weigh it against WHAT others? What openings and chances?

To build a successful venture in this field you need to have compatibility skills and at the same time should be able to work as a team. You should not think that it is very easy to run this business because at the end of the day your success depends on your hard work and your selling abilities.

If you have the right selling abilities you can take TVI Express Travel online or even offline. There is a high probability that after you read this article you might consider training yourself more to develop your marketing skills. More importantly, you should learn to attract people into your market and let them chase you and not the other way round.

This last two paragraphs are just more gibberish with keyword spamming. It doesn't say anything useful at all.


As you can see, EVERY paragraph in this "review" is full of errors and omissions. When there were facts, they are either completely old and obsolete, overtaken by events, or so generic as to be useless. In fact, half of the sentences are outright gibberish.


The conclusion is undeniable:    is a joke. He can't even analyze an alleged opportunity properly. Thus, his "training" would likely to be of dubious value.

Takengon - Many individual members (members) business Multi Level Marketing (MLM) TVI Express in Central Aceh, giving false information to prospective members. So many members felt cheated by wrong information it receives. An Up-line TVI Express Central Aceh, Safrin Rush, Saturday (30 / 4) said many members who are looking for members under it does not give the correct explanation, they even provided a tantalizing promise, do not have to work but can earn money USD 100 million.

Due to incorrect information, said Safrin, many members TVI Express which has been a member for three months was disappointed for not getting the money as promised. Safrin Rusli said a member of TVI Express must work to find other members to be down-line (subordinates) so that, TVI Express system will run and reached as expected. Safrin Rush admitted, many elements of TVI Express in Central Aceh who want to reach high positions quickly, but skim the false propaganda to the members below it. In fact, he said, a member there who bought 16 cards (operating rights) once with a value of USD 41.6 million with the aim of directly occupying a high position.

"Supposedly, the member who has purchased operating rights to invite others to become members, and provide a true understanding to her down line," said Rusli Safrin. He said, TVI Express is a mutual help business, every member must work to get his men, more and more of his men, the higher the position of these members. Win Stelco to admit, after rising by illegitimate fatwas Ulama's Consultative Assembly (MPU), Bener Meriah, TVI Express business in Central Aceh disturbed, even many people who do not want to become a member of the business for fear of being illegitimate. When studied carefully, called Win Stelco, no TVI Express business that harm others.

The short of it is simple: TVI Express denies it is money game, claims recruiting people is not money game but hard work. Why do they claim so? Never explained. Are they Muslim scholars? Of course not. So how do they know it is not haram? 

Kas Pedersen is a Weasel Coach Who Argues with NO FACTS

Kas Pedersen posts some sort of website where he claims to teach you about "legit network marketing companies", and one of them according to him, is "TVI Express".

What's really interesting is he does exactly what he accuses the others are doing: keyword spamming

"By now “TVI Express scam” is a search term getting pretty ok traffic, and that’s why website owners will post articles with TVI Express scam in their titles, not to harm the company but simply to get their website to rank better in the search engines."

Gee, what's that in your title? "TVI Express Scam -- it is possible to make money with TVI Express"  WEASEL!  A two-face weasel! Trying to play BOTH SIDES! 


Then he claims TVI Express is not a scam. Based on what? His own opinion. 

I been in network marketing for more than 8 years by now and know what I am talking about. I have seen MLM companies come and go, but TVI Express is here to stay for a long time to come.

Did he mention that TVI Express is DEAD in China, US, Australia, and most of Africa? Nope. Did he mention that TVI Express is accused of fraud in a dozen countries? Nope. 

The TVI Express Scam accusations are generated by lazy folks who just don’t understand what network marketing is all about. Are going to find out??

He just dismissed everybody's argument by lumping them with the excuse "they don't understand us". 


He's the real scammer.

Hi, brother don't abuse tvi express. we all are really earning a lot of money through tvi express business. i started this business 14 months ago. my direct sign-ups were 9. and now my genealogy is in auto mod and im earning 10k dollars every week and also a lot of residual income. 

And how does this prove it's legitimate? It doesn't. Notice he only talked about recruiting, not about SELLING anything. What sort of business sells nothing? 

i feel instead of talking negative abt such a great opportunity, you must join tviexpress and grab the success asap. here in my city there are not a lot of ppl in tvi, but because of the global signups of tvi, im also earning automatically :). 

Still no explanation on why the business is legitimate, just that it makes money... By recruiting people NOT in the US. NOT BY SELLING ANYTHING. 

i feel so great that my life has changed so rapidly. now i also purchased the stuffs which i used to think ill never be able to buy. there are negative points to talk about tviexpress, but same goes with the top worlds network companys. 

The "top worlds network companys" (sic) are not getting shut down all over the world like TVI Express. TVI Express is already dead in China, Australia, various countries in Europe and Asia.... The list goes on and on. Those are facts, not merely insults. 

i dont care about 10 people talking shit about the company and me, cuz i know im financially much more stable now then they can just dream of.

If he "dont care about 10 people talking shit", why did he post a comment defending TVI Express? Talk about schizophrenia! 

And did I ever talk **** about him? No. I don't even know who he is, until he posted the comment. 

This guy is basically saying "I made money so I don't care if it's a scam."  And he felt so involved in TVI Express, he decided that any "insult" against TVI Express is against him personally. That's a symptom of paranoia. 

Amazing, isn't it? Two different psychological disorders in a single sentence!

IP Address traces to a company in Texas, but it's likely hacked. That ain't even American English.

Old News: TVI Express was sued and banned in Australia since May 2010

Looking through the ENTIRE post, and I can't find a SINGLE FACT from "TVI Top Leader".  There are some pithy nuggets like "knowledge is power", but did you notice that he did not cite a single FACT or even TRY to refute ANY of the facts I cited? 

Wonder if "Top leader" is related to "Dear Leader" or  "Great Leader"?

Do You Know What is "Cognitive Dissonance"?

Cognitive Dissonance is a conflicting mental situation where the mind is trying to reconcile conflicting information.  (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance )

It is interesting how many participants of TVI Express are showing attitudes of cognitive dissonance. Here are some of the symptoms:

The Belief Disconfirmation Paradigm
Dissonance is aroused when people are confronted with information that is inconsistent with their beliefs. If the dissonance is not reduced by changing one's belief, the dissonance can result in misperception or rejection or refutation of the information, seeking support from others who share the beliefs, and attempting to persuade others to restore consonance.

When confronted with the facts that TVI Express is an illegal pyramid scheme under prosecution in multiple countries, the defenders, behaving like UFO cult members (who realized the world was NOT ending), started to attack the truth (seeking to refute it somehow), seek support from others who share their beliefs, and attempt to persuade others that TVI Express cannot be a scam, often by using logical fallacies. 

The Effort-Justification ParadigmDissonance is aroused whenever individuals voluntarily engage in an unpleasant activity to achieve some desired goal. Dissonance can be reduced by exaggerating the desirability of the goal. 

When confronted with the fact that TVI Express relies on recruiting people, not on selling anything, the participants deluded themselves by claiming "it's networking", "it's hard work", "I am earning life-changing income" and so on. In many cases, they haven't earned a single dollar, they merely have progressed a few levels in the "board", but they are acting as if they have made great progress toward their goal, because they chose it, and thus they need to justify their unpleasant activities: dragging other people into the scam. 

Which is yet ANOTHER way TVI Express is very much like a cult...

This one I haven't seen before, and as expected, it sings praises of TVI Express. But is it even telling the truth? Here's a screenshot:






Let me apply my own described criteria... "Crap Detector".

PURPOSE: What is the purpose of the article? The title is "TVI Express". The first paragraph is an anecdote, unrelated to TVI Express. The end it says the guy gave TVI Express 4 out of 5 stars. So clearly he thought it was a good idea. So the purpose is "To Prove TVI Express is a good opportunity".

EVIDENCE: Is the stuff current? Unfortunately, NO! Here's the CURRENT rating on TVI Express by Mr. Tannar:

"We were loving TVI Express, until our sponsor, one of the biggest hitters in the company, dropped out with little to no warning, and the company its self ignored every one of my emails. I would no way, promote them any longer..." http://www.homebasedbizreviews.com/tviexpress.html

Thus, it's proven that the website first mentioned is a copycat, and copying OLD STUFF. ANOTHER case of ZOMBIE content!

Conclusive Proof that TVI Express is NOT investing in Airline

TVI Express Indonesia members are spreading rumors that TVI Express has somehow found money to invest in a new airline that will start operation in July 2011. Here's one example.


Somehow the name "Gunarni Gunawan" was construed to be mispelled Goenarni Goenawan, owner of PT TVI Express Indonesia. 


However, that citing is COMPLETELY WRONG. TribunNews of Indonesia has identified the two domestic investors of Pacific Royale Airline as Gunarni Soeworodan, and Samudera Sukardi, both of whom had previously worked at Garuda Air. 


And if TVI Express is investing in an airline, you'd think they'd made an announcement already. Instead, you get all these rumor mills working overtime, citing the WRONG facts, and NOBODY even bothered to double check the names! I don't even speak Indonesian yet I smelled a rat from THOUSANDS of miles away!

Rohit From India Comes with a Presumption

Mr.kschang, can you name any MLM/Network Marketing company on the planet which is not referred as a scam?

Is that relevant to the statement "TVI Express is a scam?"  No. There's a PRESUMPTION there that TVI Express is MLM. However, when some distributors of TVI Express claim TVI Express is NOT MLM, while TVIExpress.com says it uses MLM as its business model, who is right and who is wrong? And why does TVI Express itself says "you don't need to sell any products"? What then is it marketing?

You are not even a part of what you are writing, neither am I. You are simply ASSUMING things, making your own assumptions / opinions / etc.

I have hypothesis backed up by facts and observations made by professionals, such as newspapers, websites, and more. It is far more than a mere "assumption", unlike Rohit here. He assumed something without realizing it.

People like you, I dont know why waste their time & energy writing all this non-sense & eating huge server spaces for nothing, TOTAL WASTE of resources.

People are just getting lazy coz in Network marketing you dont get a physical Office with an AC. This is hard work buddy, not everyone can do it.

Rohit is ASSUMING that TVI Express is MLM. TVI Express indeed CLAIMS to be MLM, but what does it sell? Why would its own FAQ says "you don't need to sell any products" if it is really MLM? Does he even know he is assuming?

Like Actors, Models & Sportsman get paid to endorse Products, Network marketing simply gives a common man that opportunity, to endorse & earn. If people can earn thru that, why do you have a problem with it (u called it haram! - Dude you are just trying to defend what you wrote.)

Rohit is not dealing with facts here. 1) He is ASSUMING that TVI Express is MLM, with NO verification. 2) He is assuming that I invented the reference that TVI Express is haram. I did not. Aceh Muslim Council in Indonesia did. Thus, his observation is a LIE.

Am part of another NM company & had earned a fortune out of it, try it you wont regret.
People like Warren buffet, Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, etc. are not idiots to promote NM companies or own them, THEY JUST KNOW THE POWER OF IT. CHEERS...

Richard Branson had divested himself of Virgin Cosmetics, the MLM, in 2009. Clearly, it was NOT a good investment for him.

Warren Buffet owns merely ONE MLM company, which is a TINY portion of his portfolio.

Bill Clinton thanked exactly ONE MLM, and for its SERVICE aspect (making money available to third-world entrepeneurs), not how much money it is making the contributors.

Thus, it is clear Rohit simply does NOT understand the situation at all.
