I know Tarun Trikha already speaks for TVI Express, as he had been spotted at various TVI Express "conventions", meetings, and even conference calls. However, does he even have the legal right to? Is he a TVI Express employee? Or a TVI Express officer? If he is neither, would anything he say, wrote, or promised, worth anything? Or would they all be hearsay, personal opinions, and thus, be completely worthless?
Let us find out, based on publicly available information.
First of all, what is Tarun Trikha's official position in TVI Express? According to TVI Express, Tarun Trikha is an advisory board member. From the TVI Express website:
Okay, but what does an advisory board member actually do?
In other words, advisory board members are still distributors, and their job is to help other TVI Express distributors. They get some training, and they are sent to "represent" TVI Express on some functions. Is he employee of TVI Express? Does what he say actually count? Can he commit TVI Express to anything? If not, who can?
This is where things gets VERY shady. TVI Express has no publicly accessible "code of ethics" or "code of conduct". It *does* have a disclaimer where they claim they can terminate someone's associate status at any time, but it is clear that there is no central "code of ethics" at all. In fact, what is the exact relation of an "associate" or "distributor" or "member" to TVI Express itself? Nobody seems to know. Just the fact that TVI Express itself had used THREE DIFFERENT TERMS to refer to the same thing can be construed as incompetence or outright attempt to deceive its members, but that's another story. The fact is: People simply "assumed" that it's like any MLM: you are probably an independent distributor.
Let us assume for a moment that a TVI Express member / distributor / associate is an independent distributor, just like a legitimate MLM... say, Amway. However, an independent distributor cannot claim to be an employee, or to speak for the company. Amway independent distributors are PROHIBITED from representing themselves as employed by Amway, represents Amway, and so on. Not even their best "diamond associates". They certainly are NOT allowed to speak for Amway, or commit Amway to anything.
Yet Tarun Trikha has represented TVI Express in many different places. In a Chinese TVI Express convention in June 2009, Tarun Trikha was the TVI Express representative, representing India. He represented TVI Express in conference call in October 2009. (The 7 parts of the conference call is available on Youtube) Yet if you assume TVI Express "associates / distributors / members" are independent distributors, then that Tarun Trikha did was way beyond his legal power as a "normal" independent distributor, even if he is a very senior distributor (in fact, he's suspected as being "member zero", the first TVI Express member, but that's another story altogether)
Tarun Trikha claimed exclusive access to at least two of the TVI Express corporate officers "Sam" and "Sarah" in the conference calls (available on Youtube, 7 parts), that nobody else had ever seen or heard from. That would indicate he is far more than TVI Express officially acknowledged. In fact, he is practically the spokesperson of TVI Express. He even gave interviews to Indonesian TV channel (allegedly).
However, here is something nobody had ever questioned: why would Tarun Trikha *have* that legal right to actually represent TVI Express, and give answers to questions, and actually promise things for the company, if he is merely a very senior distributor / member / associate?
Furthermore, if Tarun Trikha does NOT actually have the legal right to represent TVI Express, can ANYTHING he had said in the past year can be taken seriously?
Or a more disturbing thought... Could TVI Express NOT be a MLM that it claims to be? If it permits a "rogue" member to misrepresent himself like that? Or are all of its corporate officers incompetent in risk management?
The former, that Tarun Trikha is overreaching, is problem of ONE MAN, Tarun Trikha. He may be faking all the authority, albeith with merely implicit approval of TVI Express. But technically it's not TVI Express's fault (unless he *is* TVI Express real owner, as some have alleged, but not by me. )
The latter, that TVI Express allowed such things to happen but maintain deniability would indicate that TVI Express itself is doing the deception, and that suggests systemic fraud.
Or even worse... It can be BOTH. Worst case scenario: Tarun Trikha is the puppetmaster behind TVI Express. He claims to be only a member, but in reality there is no Sam and Sarah... He runs everything, but blames everything on non-existent persons if anything goes wrong. TVI Express is a scam, and Tarun Trikha is the ultimate fraudster. When the whole thing collapses, he'll take the money and disappear, leaving a million people with broken dreams, certificates that are worth nothing, and eWallets that nobody can convert.
Something to think about, if you are a TVI Express member / associate / distributor / whatever. Before you say "that won't happen", remember, thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of people said the same thing about Bernie Madoff, before it all came crashing down.
