Image via WikipediaRudy Phan loves to twist words and try to "explain" things when he has no qualifications to or directly contradict facts.
He said the border of London is flexible: as long as TVI Express is NEAR London it can claim to be IN London.
There are plenty more of his lies.
Today, we will bust another one of his lies, when he twisted words and claimed that Indonesia Direct Selling Association (APLI) doesn't know what they are talking about.
The story basically goes as follows. APLI issued a warning on their website that says community must beware of pyramid schemes disguised as ("under the pretext of") MLM.
So what was Rudy Phan's response?
I have already stressed from the beginning, that TVI Express is NOT MLM.o, TVI Express is not a pyramid system and also not MLM. The words "under the pretext of MLM" It was assumed that the MLM is good while others (the pyramid) is bad. That applies to the pyramid system, but does not apply to TVI Express. Because, in my opinion, TVI Express system is better than MLM, therefore no need to impersonate TVI Express MLM.
So Rudy's explanation on WHY TVI Express is not a pyramid? "Because I said so. I say TVI Express is BETTER than MLM, so it doesn't need to pretend to be MLM."
This statement is DIRECTLY against statements on TVIExpress.com website where it repeatedly refer to itself as MLM or Network Marketing. Furthermore, this interpretation is purely Rudy Phan's invention. He has no evidence backing up this claim at all. You cannot "prove" an opinion with another opinion.
Next paragraph APLI said that pyramid offers the opportunity to earn lots of money for little effort, and is illegal everywhere. So what is Rudy Phan's response? He claims TVI Express is "hard work".
It is said that the pyramid system that offers the opportunity to "get big profits with little effort." At TVI Express, it is clear that we can not get big profits with little effort (like installing a lottery, to pay continued to hang out waiting for money to come). Imagine, I joined October 9, 2010. After joining, I was prospecting primarily online. Website (www.tviexpressdollar.com) I make. Until November 24, 2010, THERE IS NO JOINING of the website.... Those who run the business TVI Express and was getting $ 10,000, would agree with me that it takes hard work and smart to achieve success in TVI Express.
He claims recruiting people by writing articles online is "hard work". Gee, I guess it actually takes BRAIN POWER to lie, and writing some bull**** online is hard work, when it takes maybe 5-10 minutes every day! Ha-ha-ha! For someone who's quadripelegic, like Dr. Stephen Hawkings, that probably WOULD be hard work, but for a normal guy like you and me and Rudy Phan, that's hard work? Mua-ha-ha-ha-ha!
APLI then defines pyramid scheme, and part of the definition is "often the products are overpriced..." Rudy claims that TVI Express product is heavily discounted and therefore is NOT 'overpriced'. And of course, he trots out the backoffice, alleged discount, the free trip, as 'evidence' of discounts.
...Obviously, that registration fees and product prices TVI Express was MUCH CHEAPER than the market price.
Again, he chose to ignore the facts... To rehash, the $250 joining fee allegedly gets... 1) access to back office (with the alleged discounts), 2) alleged trip for 7-day 6-night to somewhere, and 3) right to recruit people into the 2 "boards" so you can eventually get $10000
So what do you actually get for that $250?
1) access to backoffice is powered by travelocity.com, but travelocity.com is FREE to use. So this is worth NOTHING. The discounts can be had without going through TVI Express.
2) the 7-day 6-night trip is impossible to redeem for 18 out of 24 months TVI Express has been in existence, now costs extra $150 in "processing fees and taxes", and the only hotels know to participate are all in India! What happened to the companion plane tickets? A trip that can't be redeemed and now cost extra $$$ is NOT worth $250!
3) so what you REALLY get for $250 is a chance at $10000, if you recruit a lot of people (14x15, or 210 people), maybe not all by yourself, but by you and your downline.
And THAT is the exact definition of a pyramid scheme, disguised by goods. Rudy Phan is playing word games again.
APLI then describes the next aspect... Pyramid requires recruiting more people... It cites an example: each member must recruit two people...
And What was Rudy's explanation? He admits that TVI Express is even MORE of a scam, since uplines are to recruit as many people as possible!
In TVI Express, it is clear that every member should recruit as many "downline" (read: member) directly. More and more members directly into our network, the greater the bonus that we achieve
So Rudy Phan admits that the entire purpose of TVI Express to is to recruit more members, and sell nothing to the outside, but he claims this is a "feature" of TVI Express, ignoring the fact that Ponzi schemes and Pyramid schemes rely on recruiting.
Another suspect characteristic of pyramid scheme is the allowance of "stacking" (buying more than one membership). Legitimate MLMs do not allow stacking because "stacking" basically is encouraging individuals to put in MORE money in order to "cycle out" someone else. So what does Rudy Phan say about that?
I see from an understanding of what is essentially a pyramid system, which determines the system is a pyramid or not is if the latter is always a victim (no competition) and the product was very expensive. Addition unsuk "more than 1 membership" is the element that is added by APLI. And we can criticize what he said this APLI. As someone wants to do business, why should be limited only allowed to open one store?...
This is a bogus explanation, because TVI Express already allow "rentry" into express board. It's automatic when you cycle out. Thus, buying multiple slots only make you cycle out your UPLINE faster. It doesn't make you cycle out any fast. And since nothing is sold except MORE membership, "opening store" metaphor does NOT apply. Just because you open two "backoffice" doesn't mean you can recruit twice as many members. If there is a limit to what you can buy for resale to each member, then yes, buying multiple memberships would make sense. Since there is no such thing, buying multiple memberships only helps your upline, not yourself. This already conflicts with his earlier claim: individual members can recruit as many people as possible. If you can recruit as many as possible, WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO BUY MORE THAN ONE MEMBERSHIP? Are you going to recruit yourself?
APLI next then gets to the gist of pyramid scheme: Rewards are given based on the drafting of a pyramid-shaped network with a number of people in a certain format; benefits not based on a presentation on sales volume and no element should be marketing the product to the consumer
So Rudy Phan's reply was... We only sell to members!
In my previous articles, I already explained that the direct selling network marketing TVI Express is unique. TVI Express self-proclaimed himself as the Category Creator. Not the definition that defines the reality, but reality that determines the definition...
So even Rudy Phan admits that TVI Express sells nothing to public (except more memberships), but he claims this is completely legit, even though it *does* fit the definition! Is he lying through his teeth?
Furthermore, what does TVI Express actually say about category creator?
"We have begun as a Category Creator with a spectacular ground floor opportunity — and, every month, more and more discerning Distributors have found the opportunity as compelling as anything available."
However, if you look a little lower, you will find this sentence on the same webpage:
"Network Marketing — also Direct Selling or Multi Level Marketing is the most powerful system of free enterprise in our modern world, and it is the business model that TVI Express chose from the beginning."
So TVI Express calls itself network marketing, thus, "category creator" cannot be referring a new form of marketing as Rudy Phan claimed. ANOTHER LIE IS BUSTED.
By now, you should have realized that Rudy Phan is basically spinning bull**** so fast it's a brown blur. He claims things he has absolutely no understanding of, against all logic, AND contradicts Tviexpress.com website.
However, he continues to post bogus critique and explanations, trying to poke holes by citing all the aspects that does NOT fit TVI Express, while making up bogus explanations (such as sampled above) that DOES fit TVI Express. In fact, he even cites Alexa ratings as legitimacy.
In alexa.com, website ranking APLI had only 1,256,974. Far cry with TVI Express website that berangking 10.101. Who needs to learn to whom?
This is claiming who's got a higher Google Pagerank is more legitimate. That is bull****. This is nothing but a popularity contest. Link popularity can be driven up artificially by spamming the internet with backlinks, such as Rudy Phan's TVIExpressDollar.com and bazillion other websites does when you search for "TVI Express".
The rest of the article is rather repetitive, as Rudy continues to make up logical fallacies and bogus reasonings that he claims will somehow show TVI Express is not a pyramid scheme. However, we've proven that he simply concentrates on the few aspects of a broad description that TVI Express does not fit, while lie about the few aspects that does fit, or leave facts out and IMPLY things are legitimate.
After all, he lied about what sort of business is TVI Express. Other lies would be easy, and filled with standard 13 lies, such as "they don't understand us".
