TVI Express Used Police Chief to promote itself in Indonesia

Searching through news archives revealed that TVI Express had once advertised that even the police chief is among its recruits in Indonesia:
TVI Express convoy and Seminars

TVI Express will hold a motorcade and seminars. The convoy was held Sunday (29 / 8) at 08.00 with a start from parking under the Hotel Horison. The seminar was held on Monday (30 / 8) at Krakatoa Grand Ballroom of Hotel Horison 9th floor with a speaker Police Chief Inspector General Edward Aritonang and Director of Asia Pacific Express TVI Goenarni Goenawan. Tarun Trikha, TVI Express founder, at the same meeting
also asking their members to earn lots of money
by dragging more people into this scheme
Edward Aritonang is the Police Chief of Java, Indonesia. His photo was used prominently during some TVI Express Indonesia events (along with Ms. Goenawan and Tarun Trikha), and there are reports that he had earned his $10000 by cycling out the express board (i.e. gotten plenty of recruits). However, there is no independent confirmation of this.

Please keep in mind that famous people CAN be mislead into joining a pyramid scheme, and their name quickly misused to recruit even more people. In May 2010, the wife of Bank of America CEO Ken Lewis, Donna Lewis was lured into a pyramid scheme called FHTM and soon both her and her husband were named as members, as well as a famous race car driver, and many more. FHTM was forced to refund over 1 million dollars.

I have no evidence that this is so in Indonesia, but now that TVI Express was declared haram, it would be interesting to know if Edward Aritonang can be reached for comment on what he thinks of TVI Express now.

EDIT 21-NOV-2012, updated with fresh pictures when the original went AWOL.
