Whenever I sit down in front of a computer, there's bazillion things that call out to me, very few of them that have to do with what needs to be done by me.
I was reading about ADHD symptoms in adults and some of them does describe me pretty well, but again, you can't self-diagnose ADHD.
Strangely, one of the treatments, Ritalin, is actually considered a stimulant, but it seems to have calming effect on certain ADHD patients.
I don't know, maybe I can ask my doc to prescribe me a small dose for a week or two and see what happens?

Not so strange. Recent studies show the role of serotonin in the seemingly paradoxical calming effect of uppers. It actually gets funny, some with stronger cases would get prescribed methamphetamine (Desoxyn), they'd take it for the 1st time, and then they'd fall asleep :-)
Another note, most adults with ADHD respond better to amphetamine-based meds (Adderall, Vyvanse) than to methylphenidate ones (Ritalin, Focalin), for kids the reverse is true. Anyway, you're unlikely to get a prescription for schedule II medicine without a formal diagnosis. Ask for a TOVA test. If it's successful (so to speak :-), check out www.addforums.com.
P.S.: Loved your MechWarrior guides, how do I PayPal you $1?
